May 2018 Message

Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ welcomed you, for the glory of God. (Romans 15:7)

People have expressed how lovely it is to be welcoming old and new friends during these 50th Anniversary celebrations. The Civic Service with new people, Justin Groves, to be closely followed by Delyth, Louise and David, provides that opportunity to welcome old friends.

Welcoming and being able to offer hospitality is at the heart of Christian faith, the God, who in Christ, welcomes us and invites us into a precious and eternal relationship.

Radical Hospitality is the first of 5 Practices being advocated by the Circuit in seeking to grow God’s Kingdom here in Glasllwch. Fifty years this fellowship has been serving this community with Christ and the Circuit initiative offers fresh expression in our desire to be relevant to our community for the next fifty years.

The 5 Practices begin with Radical Hospitality before moving into Passionate Worship. I pause here, because, if we can grow ever greater in our Hospitality and Worship we can move into the following three Practices smoothly. June 3rd and July 15th two Sundays where you are invited to discover more on these two Practices.  4.30 pm, start with a short Service afterwards. I am passionate about these Practices because I’ve seen them transform Churches and I hope that you feel called of God to help us all review our Practices and seek to be ever more relevant in 21st century Wales.

p.s. June 17th we have been selected to lead 2 Services for BBC Wales. 3.00 pm start with a practice on the morning. Invite others as we seek to bless a congregation of 40,000.
